Hi Tom,

If you go into your Windows audio settings and raise your microphone volume, this should increase the volume level in recordings.

I have a purchased copy of Callburner running with Skype Premium. My first recording with another person was successful in every respect except that the sound levels of the two sides are mismatched.

The person seems to be receiving me at a comfortable volume, but the recording has my side at a very low level, the other party is quite loud.

Is there a menu available to fine tune the balance?

Thanks!

Hi Donna,

CallBurner is easier to use. It has a simpler and more effective UI. It also provides better quality recording. In addition, CallBurner has our proprietary "Anti-drift" technology to prevent loss of synchronization between callers on long calls. I am not aware of any other product that provides Anti-drift, apart from our other Skype recording product Skylook.

I recommend you try both to see the difference for yourself.

Regards,
Paul

I'm looking at another product called Pamela.

1. How does your product compare to this alternative?

2. Do you have any features to offer that this one does not?

3. Why would I want to purchase your product vs. Pamela (or other competing product)?

Thank you. I look forward to your reply.

Hi Cynthia,
In the Recording options, near the bottom there is a checkbox "Store raw audio in addition to...". This is the option you need to check.
Regards,
Paul

Hi, I need to record interview calls with Skype and have no trouble (this is a great app) recording both sides of the call as a single sound file. But I'd like to be able to save each side of the call as a separate sound file. I thought this program let you do that but I can't find an option in the help explaining how to make it work. Can you help with that? Thanks.

Hello Paul and the CallBurner Gang,

I have just received CallBurner version 1.0.0.39 from a reliable source, but there's no mention of it on the web site and it was not offered as an update from 1.0.0.35. What's up? Is 1.0.0.39 public yet? Thanks.
